Q6600 G0 won't top 2.8ghz

Thread Starter
I just picked up a Q6600 and a scythe ninja plus revb to replace my e6750 and TT Big Typhoon. I started Oc'ing, and I haven't been able to get it to clock over 2.8g (9*311) before I start getting bsod's (0x7e and 0x7f mostly). I've run memtest to make sure my RAM is good, and no errors. The bsod's occur only when I push any higher, otherwise, I'm rock solid. I've bumped all my voltages up in an attempt to go higher, but no luck.

I've seen all over the net that people have been pushing these chips to 3g+ with little effort, so I'm wondering why I'm having such issues. Any suggestions??

That boards not the greatest overclocker, you should be able to push 3.0 / 3.1 before it starts giving you issues though..

Spelling out all your voltage and ram settings would help a bit.

Don't bump ALL the voltages, just your CPU. RAM at spec voltage. Alternatively, read for voltage guide on your mobo.

I misspoke... I bumped the cpu and NB volts just a hair. I'm gonna reboot and get those numbers out of the bios.

I have a feeling this board is just not in love with this cpu. I can't really explain it. I had oc'ed my e6750 to 3.2 easily, so I'm at a loss here...

Here ya go...

*EDIT* Note switching your D.O.T Control to manual should unlock the ability to manualy set your VCore. You shouldn't need a boost to FSB or NB voltage yet, and lets get your desired O/C before configuring your ram.
