Q6600 & Gigabyte P35 DS3L

Thread Starter
Please list your Name,CPU, VID,Batch Number, Current Highest O/C.

You may also discuss anything that has to do with the board.... For instance one of the most major problems with this board... VDROOP! Check this picture, I have 1.5v Set VCore in BIOS...

*Speculation, No definitive proof either way, This merely is my Opinion of the correct software to use for judging temps*Another thing that inhibits people O/Cing the Q6600 is that they think the TJmax is 100c as listed in Core Temp, but that is wrong, the TJ Max is actually 95c as listed in Real Temp. With that 5c difference, it shys away alot of great O/C due to mislead temp readings. You can find Real Temp here : Real Temp 2.41

Example of Temp...

  1. Avacado - Q6600 SLACR, 1.3250, Batch# L804B204, 400*9 W/ 1.525v BIOS (1.472 VDroop Idle)

This is just off the top of my head as I'm not at home right now. I'll update it later. Also, I haven't had much time to play with the overclock.

spooky - Q6600 SLACR, 1.250, Batch# L804A677, 333*9 @ 3.0ghz (stock cooling)

Using speed fan and offseting temps by 15 i get the same readings as real temp.

Any use for this 'easy pro 5' utility? i like being lazy so if it is a viable option to OC / test with..i'm in.

as i understood the reviews with that processor, and actually the ones now, they are stated as not good OC'ers. as far as the cpuz vcore, it is very possible that cpuz is wrong. try multiple mother board monitors and see if u get the same thing. cpuz is known for inaccuracies like this.
