All right, more photos...
Cut another piece of acrylic for the second duct.
The idea was to heat it up enough so that I could roll it into the desired shape.
Unlike the last piece, this one took more time and heat to before it became soft. It was an unnerving wait. 8 minutes at 110c. I was staring at it intensely watching for any bubbling on the surface or any other undesired side effect of excessive heat.
Finally I decied to have a go at it. I had to be very quick as the acrylic cools down very fast. At the end I think I had no more than 10 seconds to open the oven, take out the sheet, put it on the bench, place the template on it, grab the edge of the piece and then roll.
It was all over very quick and the result was fantastic - I was amazed how well it came out!
Now I got 2 ducts!
Having the ducts done was a big deal for me as it was slowing my progress down considerably.
Time to celebrate
