1. got it from www.gammonds.com.au
At first when I saw them I was'nt too thirlled but once I put them on, they looked pretty nice.

2.lol, no not yet - I dont think they would bother unless I buy a whole container worth of the stuff.

Thanks for liking my work

For your gap issue, I'm sure this is not what you want to hear, but have you considered disassembling the whole thing and just trimming the acrylic ducts to the exact size you need? I know it's a real pain to do that, but I think in the end, it will really give you the result you're looking for,
Thank you.

yep that would be a pain for sure - not so much the disasembly but the trimming off excess length.
I think it would be easier to make new ducts.
Fortunately I have arrived at solution to the gap problem - will post pics soon.

For your mounting dilemma, the first thing that came to mind for me were some L-brackets. You could put them on the threaded rods and then have them pull back to the frame of the (cd bays?). They might require a bit of pulling and bending, but it would work. I also think if you get some aluminum ones you could polish them to a really chrome looking finish, they wouldn't be such an eyesore then.
Thanks repo for your spontaneous approval of my work
Thanks for suggestion re gap problem.

Also thank you and Proseer for assisting me in editing title of my thread

Found an old alu case panel in my junk collection and decided to make something out of it that can be used to cover the gaps.

ready to be bashed into shape

Used a mallet to force it into submission...

Not to bad - I like the outcome

Now I should be able to put screws through the alu bracket and acrylic and into the steel posts - I will have some sort of spacer between acrylic and the post to stop the screws going to far.

Also I thought of painting the brackets black but then I remembered I had some carbon fibre left over - that will look nice and relate nicely to the front posts.
