Wow, I always get my bends a little off, and tilted to the side.

Jealous.

I've been reading a lot of worklogs lately, but how do you nominate someone? Do I have to be a staff member?

No not at all (on being a staffer).

Every month OCN has a 'Mod of the Month' voting. Nomination threads are posted in the news forums and anyone can nominate a log, as long as it is solely posted on OCN and no other site.

I have a Mod of the Month thread I update every month with past winners and links to the nominations/voting threads. Nominations are still open, so if you would like to nominate someone, or see who is nominated, please come by!

The link for my all-in-one MOTM thread is here.

And the direct link to this month's voting can be found here (please note all nominations/voting run one month behind, so the current one is actually July. )

Now, back to your regularly scheduled modding!

I see now. Thank you!
But I haven't been modding much lately cause stuff is hard to find where I live.

Oh, look, a rare update...

Last time I posted, I was attempting to solve the gap problem.
Couple of repeat photos to refresh your memories...

I made these brackets from aluminum scraps to hide the gap

Now on to the current update...

I got rid of the alu brackets and bought proper channels from local h/w store - looks just that little bit better

I had a quite a dilemma how to attach the air duct assembly to the case. I must admit this was a bit of an oversight on my part as the air duct design did not cater for it at all.

I decided that the rear piece of acrylic holding the air duct assembly together will also secure the whole thing to the case.

The aluminum channels will be covered in carbon fibre film.

It was time to trim the 8 threaded rods to the correct length

I got all the holes/screws/bolts aligned well and I like the outcome

The above work took quite a few hours due to precision required. I was hoping to do more - the top panel - but ran out of time

During the week I plan to get the LEDs fitted into the top mini ducts - then next weekend get them fitted to the top panel.

Thanks for watching

I was worried about it too and at some stage and actually tested with filters being in front of the acrylic piece but while it did not look terrible, the current solution looks lot cleaner.

Cleaning the filters will not be a major hassle - just a small one - Just gotta undo the 8 dome nuts and the whole thing slides out through the front - Im willing to live with that incovenience for the sake of aesthetics
