First of all thanks for your feedback following last update.

Now to the present:

In the image below I have indicated areas I have addressed in this and next updates.
There is the issue of covering up of the rear top 120mm fan hole and the open areas between the aluminum channels

I needed to get hold of some aluminum or thin sheet metal to get this done but I could not be bothered to go out for the hunt. Unlike in USA where you can buy just about ANYTHING, its not so easy where I am

I mentioned my problem to my wife () and she came to the rescue!

Baking pan.
So it is official guys, women CAN assist in modding!

Got hold of some unwanted pans.

Need to cut out the bottom out first.

This stuff is very thin. Looks like 1mm thick aluminum alloy or something.
It bends very easily when in big piece but once it is cut up it becomes firmer.

Jigsaw proved to be WAY to violent and had to stop before it got all mangled!

Next I tried tin cutters but that was to much for it too

I was like..SCISSORS? you gotta be kidding...

Yep they worked the best

I'd say that looks nice.
Where the 2 pieces meet, there was a tiny gap so I used a U channel to hide it.
The two pieces will be sanded back and painted black eventually.

More baking coming up shortly

getting back to 'baking'...

Next on the menu is the top rear fan hole.
I decided to cover it from inside and outside so that it at least tries to look like there was never a hole in the first place.

My Mrs supplied me with another baking pan.

bottom cut out

Internal piece cut to shape

Test fit OK

another one lol!

The external piece was lot more involved because it had to have some bits cut out here and there to make it fit properly.
I started using scissors before I remembered that I bought nibbling tool recently

Ahtung, Ahtung, Das Nibbla!
(FYI, no I am not german)

I love that tool

So there it is.
The rear plates will be painted black
Btw, I like how the sunshine illuminates the acrylic
