(having a look around the corner to see if it's safe to come out and avoid being bashed for lack of updates..)
OK...let's pretend all is cool and nobody is upset with me...
Several MONTHS has passed since I painted the case and it started to look real bad with all the dust and crap and scratches due to all the test fitting and weeks of down time - it needed a refresher coat of paint.
Ahhh...nice and black again
Then FINAL assembly began.
Firstly, front alu beams in carbon fibre film..looks sweet
Then 'B' pillar extenders in carbon fibre film too
Next the front air duct assembly
It was time to do the wiring - tedious.
Check out the wire mess:
Somehow I need to make all of that neat and tidy and easy to connect to PSU
Making a connector to the PSU. Each duct has 4 LEDS whose wires will terminate in a Molex type connector.
LEDs are 3V so I am connecting them in line with resistors to bring the PSU 5V down to acceptable voltage.
It still works!
It was bit too bright in the room so the LED light does not show up very well but at least you can see the final look of the front duct.
Next up is top duct assembly.
