We need a little ground to base the suggestions on.

How much RAM do you want, and what speed do you want it to be, and should it be DDR2 or DDR3? Also do you plan on going SLI or Crossfire in the future? Do you want to do a RAID with multiple HDDs, and if so what kind of RAID? Do you already have speakers, a monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse?

I wanna be able to do video editing, using nero, magic rip (dvds), publishing dvds, and doing other things such as browsing and so on with no problem at all.

As far as RAM go, i would want DDR2, dont want to spend to much on DDR3 yet, ill wait till price goes down. Meybe 2 GB of ram. I dont need SLI or crossfire yet just because i will probably upgrade my mobo later on down the road. I would want an average graphic card that could like i said do video editing no problem, as well as transcoding from PAL to NTSC.

I could be looking at RAID if its not to pricy, up to two hard drives. I got speakers, 19 lcd monitor, blue neon lights keyboard, and a mouse. As far as audio card goes, i can use the on board.

Thanks

Not going to game at all? Anway, the CPU does almost all of the work when converting, rendering, or editing video. Since you will be doing video work I would suggest the minimum of 2GB of RAM, but you should actually get more like 4GB. The only downfall of 4GB+ RAM is the need for a 64-bit OS to utilize it all, which won't be much of a problem if you haven't bough a 32-bit OS already.

So here's the build I'd reccomend that contains:

1x Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R
1x 4GB of Patriot RAM
1x CM Centurion 590
1x Tuniq Tower 120
1x EVGA 8800GT
1x PC Power & Cooling 750w
2x WD 160GB SATA HDD's (for RAID0)
1x WD 320GB SATA HDD (for backup or permanant storage)
1x Samsung DVD-DL Burner w/ LightScribe
1x OEM Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit DVD

Lol. Yeah. I pretty much modeled it after my own build, but with some changes I wish I had made:

My two WD 160GBs are the standard ones, and the ones in his wishlist are the server grade ones, which only cost $10 more each. Also I should have gotten an 8800GT for $75 more instead of the 7950GT. And 2x 2GB DIMMs are more future-proof compared to 4x 1GB DIMMs.
