dfi nf4 lanparty question?

hah, I'm building an old PC for my sister using some old PC parts i got laying around. Since I use to have watercooling on my old PC I had to take off the plastic guard thing that surrounds the cpu and holds the heatsink to the motherboard. I lost the screws that hold the plastic thing in place. Does anyone have any idea how long the screws should be? Because I went to lowes today and bought some screws that fitted the socket in the lower bracket. I bought 1" / 1.25" / 1.50". In case you don't know what im talking about its the yellow plastic thing surrounding the PC Anyways thanks in advance for any input. I figured I'd come here first just to save me the hassle of putting each screw in and out before i find the right one.

Screw em in and see how far they stick out... then set it on the stand offs to see if you have the clearance and your good to go
