Darn those Waterblocks

Just Bought Power Coler X1950XT by Power Color http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131047
( 6 hours before it got deactivated)
Along with the Zalman GWB-2 waterblock to go with it
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118121

Well after prying the Accelero Cooler off the card, and believe me it wasnt easy, i slapped on the water block. The problem is, it doesnt seem to fit. I overlooked the whole compaitibilty thing figuring Ill just use some clamps or whatever I have in my garage to get it on there. Unfort. its a no go. The screw holes are in a square shape around the core and the Waterblock, because of the clamp, needs them to almost go diagonally as you can see in the pics. I would strap on the Accelero cooler back but it gets in the way of my pump + already have the tubing, routing, etc. set for it to be in the loop. So should I just get another block like the MCW60? Get a better air cooler and just be done with it? Get a life? Spend more time with my wife? Im not sure.

P.S.- ATI requires 30A on 12V. I have dual 12V rails with 18A and 20A. 12V has 360watts so, remembering from the days of electricity in college, I should have 30A on 12V rails. Correct?

Well to be honest, you should have done more research. The block does not state that it is compatible with the x1950xt.

Yeahhh, I know. However, I have delt with 3 or four of zalman's waterblocks all saying the item I wanted cool wasnt on the compatibilty list but it turned out they fit just fine. XP recommends 512MB yet Ive seen 12+ Dell computers with 256MB. Kind of off topic but you get my point. Youre right though.

Ohh it does? Hmmm well I just might buy that. I was going to say Newegg has it for 30 bucks but suddenly them and every other website is out of stock. Newegg's become a real pain in my side with keeping things in stock. Did you do this!! No im just kidding. Jab Tech has it for $50 w/ shipping and brand new so I might just go with them. Ughhh these websites need to keep things in stock!!!! Newegg!

Just read your post. RAM Sinks too!! Yeah i might just get yours.

Yes, but that one does not include any ram-sinks. I'm offering mine with the added 8800 sink set, which would bring it to retail around 80 bucks or so.
