Psystar finally managed to get its Internet store back up and running Saturday, and promised that all Mac clones ordered to date will soon be on the way
Quote:
But Psystar is back once again, with a new payment processor, according to the company's Web site. And it's promising that all Open Computers or OpenPro Computers ordered this month will soon be shipping.
Quote:
So we'll see if those orders start to come through. I ordered a Leopard Open Computer on Wednesday, and my credit card was charged on Saturday. I still haven't received a shipping notice yet.

I'm sure they'll be glad to take your money! Now I'm not so sure you'll actually get the product.....

Either way it doesn't really affect me.

EDIT:
I wonder if Apple has their specific software/hardware configuration patented or copyrighted? If so.....then this company is going to get PWNed majorly by some expensive corporate lawyers...

I sure Apple will flip out when people (maybe) start to reveive their operating system on non-mac hardware. In their EULA it says noones allowed. Wonder what'll happen. Apple is evil and expensive (maybe less so now). Everyone should just get linux

My Theory, this company wants apple to sue them, then they can take apple on for having a monopoly over their OS. Its almost like microsoft forcing people to use their software, only apple is forcing people to use their hardware.

I love the idea. I hope more companies do the same and force apple to deflate their prices on hardware.

Apple's hardware is no more inflated than Dell's or HP's.
