4400+ Brisbane overclocking with AMD TA690G MOBO - Page 4

Heya.
@thlnk3r, you ask me to drop to ddr 533 right, problem is i do not think it is not able to do over 400. I think it gotta do with the timings thats why. So like you say, maybe it is the half multi that is causing it not to reach 400 and above. Advices on this.

Anyway, I've drop my HTT Link to 4x or 800hz cause at 240 fsb, i could log into com and have no problems but at 242, i could not. It is the Link that is causing the safe mode problem which took me a while to found out. LOL. So now, I'm back onto windows testing in blend mode. Timings did not change, Max Async is at 7 or 8 forgotten. Trfc at auto. Trc at 23. Vdimm would be lower if i could past this test as I want to hit it as high as possible. Vcore is at 1.372 load. IDLE did not check. Forgotten about it. Too happy to boot into windows lolz but if i use calculation to do it, i should be getting 1.39V at IDLE.

So advices come flying in baby. Thank you thlnk3r and others who have help me.

Samy, sorry for the late reponse. So your at 240 * 11 or 11.5 multi? I personally have never tried half number multipliers but have I read from other members that it can cause strange abnormalities with the memory dividers ect.
That vcore is perfect at load. How are your temps?

Let us know

Good luck

Heya, its cool with the late reponse. You've help me alot. The multi is at 11x. And temp wise, core 1, 40, core 2 41 at loads. So do not think its that bad. Now, i'm at 242 multi 11. 15hours stable!! lolx. Not bad. Just have to drop the Link to 4x and set. So now up to 245FSB. Wonder how would it go. =)

Samy, interesting so you were having problems with high HT speeds when overclocking? AM2 processors typically OC well between 1200-1400mhz HT. I guess perhaps you were the unlucky one
Good to hear you are 15hrs stable. Hopefully your next push provides the same numbers

Good luck

Heya, ya. Few of the unlucky ones. Damn. O well, have to make do with what i got and push it to the limit. Anyway, good luck to myself. After this 245 FSB gets stable or i'm stuck in anyway, I would post the ss to update you. So tell me what you think if i'm stuck if not, just advice in pushing it higher. haha. Thanks man. You are the man!!

Samy, no problem. Sorry for not responding yesterday...was busy playing TF2

At 248HTT I wouldn't change a thing. Run the stress test (Orthos) at those speeds and see how it goes. Did you touch your vcore at all? The next time you raise your HTT you may want to go with a lower divider.

Good luck

LOL. Heya, well, at 248FSB, the blend tests failed 4 mins later. Didn touch the vcore or timings or anything. Well, trying it again as i drop it 247FSb and it works. So wonder if is it only at 248FSb, the timings didn connect??

Samy, the timings are fine for now and your memory frequency speed is still under stock. Have you tried raising the vcore just a little bit to see if that helps?

Good luck
