Help! 500 Watt AX500-F PSU, is it enough for my setup???

Hi guys!

I just found out that I may have made a terrible mistake when ordering my new computer.

The spec is

Phenom X4 9750 @ 2,4GHz
4 GB DDR2 RAM (6400)
250 GB HDD @ 7500RPM
MSI GF 8800GT OC @ 660Mhz (+60), 512MB DDR3
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4 AMD 790X
Samsung DVD-RW

and the chassis i bought was the Arctic Cooling Silentium T2 Pro with a 500W PSU.

My computer is arriving tomorrow, and now I realise I may have to return the whole goddamn chassis. (I have my old sturdy Chieftec Dragon Super miditower, but i'd have to buy a new psu plus return the chassis)

Will the 500W be enough? What should I do???

What PSU is it exactly? Are you sure it is not a 350w PSU? A 500w PSU should be able to run your system if it is quality. I believe AC may use Seasonic but I need the PSU name.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Fortunately, its not a 350W PSU (which they had on the first Silentium version, I bought the "Pro" version which is like version 1,5 and sports a 500W PSU. http://www.arctic-cooling.com/arctic...m_t_pro_en.pdf)

I know they use the Seasonic ECO80 for the newest silentium (version 2, which for some reason is really hard to find in sweden) and thats on 550W. But this version has a PSU called AX-500F Cant find which make that is...

Did it say anything about the 12v1 and 12v2 combined Amps..as rarely do they combine straight up. I would guess your going to have 28-32 amps to work with and that should be fine, although semi close to the limit.

Well it also said

140W combined 300W 9.6W 12.5W

I found the info on this page

I would guess with the brand being good, I would give it a shot. You might wait around for another answer who knows that brand better though.

An "AX500" is typically a Fortron Blue Storm.

The chassis should have arrived by now. Open it up and take clear pictures of the labels please.

the package is in, and the numbers for the 12v1 and 12v2 are 14 (15) and 16 (19) with the peak in parenthesis. Will that do?
