Nice to see the triple-cores not faring too badly against the rest. I'm quite interested in one.

I think they use the 9600 x4 as standard (100%) and show the others compare to it. (i.e more or less performant)

erhmm... I'm pretty sure you could AT LEAST get the 9600 up 200 mhz to the 9850 speeds

Yeah but still 9850 at same speed as 9600 will perform better.

I would be interested to know whether the Phenom 9600 values used as a baseline in this comparison reflect the performance-dampening TLB BIOS fix (some info: http://techreport.com/articles.x/13741).

The overall performance gain from 9600 to 9650 is shown to be 13.5%, which is the approximate value of the performance hit from the BIOS fix as applied to a B2 Phenom. I didn't think the B3 Phenoms were supposed to have any significant inherent performance improvement over the B2 stepping in a benchmarking sense, just the TLB correction.

In other words, I wonder if these charts don't give a slightly rosier picture of B3 vs. B2 performance than is actually deserved, by using a slowed-down Phenom as their basis for comparison.

Personally, I have the TLB fix disabled, so I would expect my performance to be closer to what they have listed for a 9550 (If my speculations here are correct).
