need advice overclocking e6750 3.76ghz

Thread Starter
Hi, I am new in this forum, and this is my first overclocking, after about 1.5 week trial and error and lack of sleep this is my result :

CPU : e6750
CPU Cooling : Xigmatek HDT-s1283
Motherboard : Gigabyte p35c-ds3r
RAM : 4x CORSAIR XMS2 pc2-6400
GPU : xfx 8800gt 512mb
GPU cooling : Zalman vf900-Cu
Case : Antec 900
PSU : Hiper 580w

Cpu Clock : 3760 MHz - 8x - 470 Mhz
Room temp : 73F/23c
Load Temp : 58c [Orthos]
Idle Temp : 36c
RAM volt : 2.2v [I read it at Everest]
Stress Test : Orthos, Prime95, Everest [Passed! ]

Question :
1. Is the result good/normal ? Is there any way to lower the voltage [i want lower temp]
2. I do not understand RAM timing too much so I set it to Auto, is it good enough?
3. For the RAM voltage, I do not know the standard voltage, but after I add +4v in bios the voltage is 2.2v, is it too high for my RAM?

I want to make it higher but i'm afraid of decreasing my cpu life is there much difference in speed if i make it to 3.9 or 4.0 ?

THANKS!! need advice from experienced and pro overclockers! :helpme

That's all looking good for an E6750. You don't really need to worry too much about your temps; they're good. The CPU can handle 58C. You could try to lower voltage a hair, but I don't think you can get much lower.

That's the 'Quad' 4x1 GB kit you have? What I can find on Corsair's website, that's 1.8V RAM:

Thus, I find that voltage a bit high. Try to stay below 2.0V if you can.
