DFIs have their quirks, but they are unmatched in OC-ability, in my experience.

It looks fantastic w/black interior of case as well.

My thread on my build shows the transformation to this wonderfully attractive mobo.

yeah but thats all chip nothing at all to do with the mobo

I think that once you hit that 550FSB mark, you'll have no remorse about your purchase!

My vote is for the DFI! Great board from what I seen on OCN.

Too bad our X38's are no longer being sold @ newegg. Thats most likely why Microman went through DFI. And if mine dies anytime soon, I will have to do the same (Keeps fingers crossed)

EDIT: NVM newegg has the X38 in stock now, I thought it was deactivated not too long ago.

Sure it is, with the FSB being able to OC well above it's stock numbers (1333-333FSB stock, ability to break 500FSB), it says ALOT about the quality of the manufacturer and overall build of the product!

No, I'm very much RAM limited! It takes 2.1v for my ram to make DDR2-900 (450FSB), but the board wants only +.04v increase to NB to hit that mark.

I've never really attempted much higher, but seeing as I'm being called out, I'll give it a whirl. I'll post back with screenshots of my results!

all i am saying is ive heard a lot about these boards but i never see these magic #'s everyone speaks of. the highest i could get with a lot of effort was 509 fsb with a dual core which doesnt impress me at all

Well, I have had nothing but good from DFI from my Nforce3 250GB to my P35.

I would go with teh DFI DK P35.

btw, ot, Sorry to hear about the hassle microman, I guess every company has a bad spot here and there though. I know a couple of my buddies had to rma their mb but had no issues at all, went nice and smooth they said.
