I think schools should start teaching a 2 week course on internet searches.

Searching the forum for "MP3" brings up

http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...-millions.html

as the fourth choice.

Remember back in the old days if you had a 20GB hard drive u were the talk of the town. Ok lets say each mp3 @ 192kbps and a average size of 8mb , you times that by 5000, your using 40GB ,,, hehe soo ya terabyte and this new tech is junk, theres better things to worry about, like getting a nice solid HD, the higher the space the slower it will perform. 250gb is good range , even 160gb ,, one for OS, and one for backing up purposes or downloads or firefox cache or page file.. etc.... Just the fact that this is not a top vendor tell me it will brake down. whats the use of a hard drive braking down and u only had filled up 140gb maybe. Soo the size capacity is not important. Why not get something stable that will live for 20 years... hmmmm
I agree, I don't really use much more than 100GB of HDD space and I don't see a need in anything more than 250GB for the average user. I would rather see more money and time invested in reliability and speed. I couldn't imagine having 500,000GB of files on a HDD and it suddenly failing on me.

Only about 5% of the population would even use 1TB of a HDD. Most people don't need portable storage over 30GB.

I welcome the new storage but i think it is pointless

I used to say something similar when I bought my first 1 GB hard drive many years ago... "who the hell will ever need more space than this!?"
