88GT SLI vs 98GTX 1680x1050

Hey guys!
I know this must have been posted alot before, and I've read that SLI doesn't work too well on the lower resoloutions. I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but I've checked a few posts and none really gave a definate answer.

I'm gonna be buying a whole new rig before the end of the month and I'm not sure which card/s to get.

8800GT in SLI or a single 9800GTX?
The resoloution will be 1680x1050 on a 22" monitor.

I'll be wanting to run Crysis as high as I can with about 40fps.
I'll overclock the cards aswel ofcourse, I'll have a Q6600 overclocked to 3.2ghz and 4gb 1066MHZ ram.

Thanks
Divine

Yep. Go with SLI but be warned, some games have trouble with SLI such as Lord of the Rings Online. It all depends on how they were developed.

99% will probably run like a dream. It's that 1% that makes you want to pull your hair out.
