Any online game before 2005.
Any RTS.
Any RPG.

Thats like what, half of the games ever made?

I do have to agree with rob. And at the risk of being called a fanboy, I think the PS3 has layed an unsurmountable blow to the Xbox360 with Blu-ray's win in the format war.

Looks like Sony's business plan worked out for once.

Good PC game that wasn't a port?

Starcraft (nobody said it?!)
Half-Life Series
Doom
Sim City
Myst Series
Command and Conquer
Duke Nukem
World of Warcraft (I personally like it)

Comparing a console to console is one thing but I think the lines gets pretty blurry when comparing a console to a full-blown gaming rig.

yeah but that sparks the other argument... PCs are solely 'full blown gaming rigs'. of course, hardware and technology means they are way more capable of putting out higher performance games, pretty evident in todays market.

but consoles are more accustomed to be 'pure gaming rigs'.. just that todays market demands they offer much more, they are now full-blown media stations too.

you can compare all machines in terms of offerings and compatability, the only time you could never compare a console to a gaming PC is when comparing performance.

and lets all remember, not every PC in the world is for gamers, we're probably in the minority side of PC ownership.
