1-if we want to make a PC that have the same power of ps3 or xbox360 what could be its specs so this pc can match the power of a console on its full power?!?

2- if there is the game "crysis" on ps3 and xbox360 can they run it on max settings? if not on what settings would you expect it running.

3- some people are saying that a decent gaming pc can outform the console power, but the consoles are not on there full power yet!!! they can run huge games on HD resolution with a good frame rates look at resident evil 5 can you thing that a normal pc will max it out!!!! hell no
Ugh. I'll try and make this (fairly) simple.

As someone mentioned before me.... consoles that are currently out now would be considered current generation. The next generation will come.......... next.

1.) It's hard to directly compare the two, as the technologies are different. But it would take a much more powerful console system to match the graphics processing cabilities of the highest-end gaming computers (and their tech) on the market.

2.) Asking whether or not Crysis will "max" on a console is not a simple black and white question. It has to be ported, and the developers may (or may not) choose to have it run certain details in order for the game to run smoothly. But it may not look quite as good; because, get this, current Consoles aren't as graphically powerful as the most high-end computers!

3.) I'm not sure what you mean by "consoles aren't at their full power yet". If you mean the technology hasn't been utilized to it's fullest.... well, so? We make objective comparisons by what is currently available to us. Also, computer (games) are capable of much higher resolutions (2560 x 1600) than full 1080p HD (which is 1920 x 1080). If your basis of argument here is "Resident Evil 5 can run maxed out on a console but not a PC", then you're basing it on nothing. Resident Evil 5 isn't available on PC.... so you don't know.

The fact of the matter here is; PC's have much more graphical processing abilities than consoles. That is, in part, why the most expensive PC graphics cards alone costs more than an entire PS3 or XBOX 360. The technology provided via the PC gaming medium is just more advanced.

PS: While I can't say this for sure, I have a strong inclination that Crysis would look like a slide show on anything relatively higher than medium settings on a console.

Actually a PC costs sometimes over 5 times what a console does.

The comments that any console that is out is "current gen" is too simplistic. It ignores the fact that many currently available, and still strong selling, consoles are in fact "last gen" (specifically, the PS2). It also ignores the fact that the entire "next gen" phrase is a marketing label somewhat unique to this generation of consoles...I certainly don't recall this kind of "generation" discussion going from PS1 to PS2, NES to SNES, or Atari 2600 to 5200. The marketroids have turned the phrase "next generation console" into a synonym for "X360/PS3/Wii", much like "Frisbee" means "flying disc" despite actually being a brand name.

Trying to work around those realities, I think it has been fair to use the phrase "next gen" up until last Xmas. At that time, all of the major players have had their "current gen, formerly known as next gen" consoles out for at least one year. Continuing to call them "next gen" is a bit odd..."next gen" should now be applied to the consoles that are on the drawing board. Think about it...traditional console cycles have been five years...the X360 has been out for 2.5 years, so we're half-way through this cycle, by traditional measures. Now I don't think anyone expects this generation to actually last for only five years, but it still begs the question on whether it is time to start being more forward looking with our terminology.

(As an aside, I for one would not be surprised to see Microsoft launch a new console in 2.5 to 3 years. For one, if they start losing market share for lack of an included Blu-Ray drive, that would be a way out of that mess without having to introduce yet another X360 SKU to confuse the market even further. Second, it would be a way to shore up their market lead by putting better looking games in consumers hands, presuming that Sony will remain behind them by at least a year as they were this time around...getting X360 out early created their front runner position, doing it again would likely preserve that position.)
