Some people can just forget. It happens to all of us at some point. You cannot have your mind on everything at any one time.

Any suggestions on how to get anything back?
No but lock your car next time! that would be a great monitor to have gotten!

And go check the local pawn shops for next week or so!

It won't matter if you lock your car. I had my car broke into in mid day at a busy shopping mall, with security driving around. I had an alarm too, they punched a hole around the door lock, then popped the hood and cut the battery and the megaphone(I had a backup battery for it). Then they got in the car, ripped the dash out, took the radio, some $80 perfume for my gf at the times birthday, and my coin dish with $1.75 in it. The damage to my car was over $1800, they got $300 out of it.

I would have said a Pawn shop is easier and safer for a criminal to quickly sell there stolen goods rather than Eb. Thats just my logic.

You must have seriel numbers, and I would go to as many pawn shops as you can, not all but some shops if you call will just make that item "disappear", rather than get caught with stolen stuff. I would go and ask if they have any 22" lcds or xbox 360s...something randomly innocent.

I was shaking my head and thinking while I read this, we are lucky we don't live 150 years ago. That guy would have shot you in the street and left you lay dead. Then he would have taken your horse and your wife (the xbox of those days) and celebrated in the local saloon.
