[tcmag] Intel E8300 released and ready to kill off the E8200

In addition to doing a little price trimming Intel has also just released a new 45nm processor. The dual-core E8300 has already made its way into stores and it comes with a 1333 MHz FSB, 6 MB of L2 cache, a 65W TDP and a standard frequency of 2.83 GHz.

Intel has put the E8300 right at the $163 (in 1000-unit tray quantities) price level so the E8200 is now probably on its way out of the picture. With the E4700 set to be priced at $133 it is somewhat unlikely that Intel will position the E8200 under $163. For now though, the E8200 is still selling and it is slightly cheaper than the new E8300.

Hmm I wonder if there's a place I can order from that will ship to the US then. I've had my entire computer sitting in boxes in my office waiting on this one part for over a month now. The only other part I don't have is my video card and that's only because I'm stretching mt step-up as long as possible. (No point in ordering a video card when you don't have a computer to run it on until the processor shows up..)
