Graphic Card Choosing

Thread Starter
I'm building a new Computer for work and entertaiment. I did using illustrator , Photoshop, and Dreamweaver software for my job. Its consider as multimedia works tho. Here comes question for me. i have 2 choice for me but i dont know which one are worth to get for my current usage.

1. Winfast Quardo FX550 128MB (Memory: 128Bit, Pixel: 12 Bit)

2. XFX GeForce 9600 GT (XXT) 512MB (Memory: 256-bit)

Price for the Quardo are like 120USD highier than 9600.. so i'm consider if i need to pay extra 120USD for it or instead i can just get the 9600. Thanks at first. =)

(Sorry for bad english.)

Let me think, umm the 9600GT hands down!

Unless you are gonna do 3D Rendering/Modeling...

For slightly above everyday usage - ie. using Photoshop and such - the 9600GT is a great buy.

Do you do heavy 3D Rendering/Modeling?

If yes get the Quadro.

If no, get the 9600.

The FX550 is actually based off the 6 series, a 6600GT to be exact. Thank nvidia for another botched naming scheme.

I dunno bout you but after looking at the quadro's specs, I'm assuming the 9600GT would be better for rendering AND games no matter how "optimized" the quadro is for work

The quadro's so weak
