Actually from what Ive read and heard they are almost Dead On performance wise. Give or take a few FPS for different games. Ive heard that the 8600m GT is a bit better but its more because of the frequent driver updates and constant modding done to them by the guys at LaptopVideo2Go.com

Yea, There are better laptops out there for sure but at the time I purchased my Vostro I paid just over 1000 shipped and that was the best deal for any 15" notebook with the power that I got. I love my notebook. The only thing thats stopping me from getting the new Gateways from Best Buy is the fact that I just cant use a 17". Its just too big for what I do. I am always taking my notebook to class, work, girlfriends. Point is a 15" is what I need as its much easier when you are always on the go.

Yea, Ive been reading that the 9500m GS is a rebadged 8600m GT so the performance should be right on par. I do believe that the 9500m has a smaller die so it doesnt run as hot but im not sure on that. But yea the 9500m is still a great GPU
