Thread Starter
I'm new here, I've reached 2.96ghz stable with 1.575vcore and 2.275VDIMM but everytime I try to hit 3ghz with I always crash 10 minutes after the overclock, can someone give me any pointers?

Franz.

The first thing that comes to mind at that voltage is temperatures. What are they like? It could be what is causing you to crash.

It's been a long time since I overclocked with AMD, but I recall that Hypertransport being over a certain amount (I think it was 1,100) caused issues. Try turning down the Hypertransport multiplier by one, see if that helps at all. Also, run memtest for 12 hours atleast to assure that your RAM isn't the culprit. If the hypertransport doesn't help and the RAM isn't the problem, you may have just hit a CPU clock wall.

you need to play with the ram timings...look at other Brisbane threads to help you out...

That Chip WILL hit 2800mhz at 1.25v and 3000mhz at 1.35v with the right ram and setting...some ram will need 1.45v to do it but not many...

all of my many brisbanes will hit 3.0ghz on 1.35v with my Patriot LLKs
