Nice temps on the Q6600 huh! - Page 4

I didnt click all 4 at once rather very quickly one after the other. Coretemp shows my original overclock which orthos doesnt seem to pick up. Im changing my board. It sets the multiplier down all the way to six for some reason even though i disabled all the required things in the bios. I've been talkin to a few members about this. Im pretty baffled myself! The only explanation would be that the ambient is lower than my AC is showing it to be, although the lowest setting i can goto is 16C on my AC. The temps outside my room are 39C.
@Cognoscenti:
For the load temps, i mentioned before that the test was run only for 51 minutes before i had to give the ram back so i guess it doesnt qualify as a proper stress test! I guess i'll post more results when i grab some ram and do a proper 6 hour stress test.

We just don't understand how your temps are lower with load, and TBH thats BS you can't click all start buttons in the same second, it's not possible given the spacing that are between them. All of the start times are on the exact same second.

i didnt click em in the same second although for some reason it doesnt show. I guess i'll wait a couple of seconds between clicks in the next stress test!! All i know is i clicked em as fast as i could and after the fourth click, the computer sorta slowed down almost to a halt then the GO thing started on all four. All i can say is i know it isnt BS but i guess i have no way to prove it to you guys so i'll keep experimenting!! The reason i posted it here wasnt to get attention or reps or anything. I just found it very interesting and couldnt understand how my PC my temps went that low cuz as far as i experienced, air doesnt take temps that down which is why i ordered a WC kit from CD a couple of months ago! Anyways, i'll do a lil more experimenting with the setup, get better Ram, oc it more and then do tests and post the results! I get it, why it's appearin to be BS, i do but i dont have the time nor the energy to fabricate this with my surgery rotation going on!
Oh and theyre lower with load cuz i adjusted the heatsink screw before starting the test. The temps dropped to 12,11,11,11. Then i started the test.
Hey you know wat? Why dont you guys specify the parameters of the test from scratch and when i get the ram, i'll do exactly as you guys say and then post the results. Fair enough?

I would check that ,the temp sensor might off.My son's got a m2n32-mvp and his temps on it are less THAN the ambient temps on air cooling ,its not possible to be lower than ambient on air.if yours are right you need to put thing together and oc it cause it'll hit some serious oc.The programs can only show what your onboard sensor can tell them.

Get some kind of temperature gage ,you can put in between some of the fins on your heatsink its not going to be as hot as your core but if its higher than what you are showing then you know its off.Its important that you know your correct temps,you know that.If its right you've got an awesome q6600 though.

This is a total BS thread. Orthos showing 2.4ghz and coretemp showing 2.9. Somebody must know how to use photoshop. When I first saw the idle temp I was like ok maybe but the load temp is well cough BS cough. Einstein is rolling over in his grave right now lol.

Agreed!!!! Total BS all of it. Its just not possible. There is no way that those cores can run that low under load. And the differnet clockspeeds and all the copies of orthos with exactly the same time on... MMmmm. Is it possible to go round and click on start 4 times in under a second, i just tried and coudn't
