I would go Kaspersky. Brilliant Anti-Virus, disinfects malware even if it doesnt recognise it, and has a brilliant UI IMO, which is also customizable.

Doesnt use system resources as much as others (older versions of norton), and brilliant detection rates.

Also, Hourly Updates

AVG is good, I used to use Avast! and since going to AVG iv had no viruses at all!
Kaspersky is definitely better than AVG. AVG is good for a free anti-virus but nowhere as good as Kaspersky. Kaspersky has a lot of extra options you can use for extra protection like its Triple threat protection. Triple Threat protection helps protect you against exploits someone might use to gain access to your computer.

It pretty much boils down to how much you want to pay. If you want freeware, AVG is awesome, but if you're willing to pay, Kaspersky is the way to go.

I personally don't use anti-virus anymore, but when I did, I tried out AVG free edition, realized that it sucked, and promptly upgraded to Kaspersky, which I found to be much better.

And you've announced that fact to the internet? Seriously, be careful.

But on topic, definately Kaspersky.

Higher detection rates than any other anti-virus software. Also gets rid of viruses it doesnt recognise. The internet security suite edition also has excellent firewall and registry protection.

Get It!

Same here. AV Software isnt needed if you know what youre doing on the internet.
