Overclocking E6750 with EVGA 650i Ultra - Page 4

You have to put the cd in when you restart, whole point of setting cd/dvd-rom drive to first boot device. Should just be a jumper, but you can take the battery out too.

Hope the new Bios takes care of it for you. Keep us posted.

Alright, looks like i screwed up my PC.. (im on my sister's if you guys are wondering).

I might need a new motherboard i guess, and a case since the fan at the side cord just got ripped, probably about to get the Antec Nine Hundred and a Gigabyte Motherboard, a one below $140 canadian.

Will getting a new motherboard fix my problems without worrying to bring it in to a computer guy, because i dont know how to fix it , i tried.

Getting a new motherboard, do i just connect all the pieces together again or do i have to reformat? Because i need some documents that are in my hard drive right now which are kinda important to me, so is my hard drive fine or am i screwed?

Is the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R any good?

I'm a Giga Fanboy so i'm a tad biased, but yes, they are all stellar boards.

What did you do just before the sytem wouldn't boot? Where you trying to update the BIOS?

Assuming your mobo is the problem, you should be able to just install a new mobo and connect all of your components and be up and running. Of course, you'll need to install drviers for the new mobo. You should not have to reformat your drive.
