sharing my q6600@3.6 onair - Page 4

I dont know about the VID anymore. It is a good indication of the OC ability of the chip, but my last Q6600 had a 1.25v VID and I could only get 3.5GHz with even 1.5v vcore. I ended up running it 24/7 at 3.5GHz with 1.44v vcore. Plus I've seen much higher VIDs getting decent OCs.

Yeah, that's why while I prefer a lower VID, it doesn't mean much in the end... They say lower VIDs generally overclock better, but not always..

I'm liking those low VIDs the e8400's are getting lol

1.456v for my 3.6 stable right now. Temps are 37, 39, 34, 31 respectively. I think I can even them out a litte better with a remount and some different TIM... Gonna wait for my new case though.

1.315 VID for this pos chip too.

Very nice voltages though, OP. I'm damn jealous. I'll trade you chips! I'll even pay the shipping! lol

CoreTemp gives an Idle and Load VID. Its right above "CPU #0: Temperature Readings"

i noticed that when i feed the NB with +0.3v (maximum in bios ) its getting more stable between the different voltages idle, load, more load.
note:i have 4 voltages numbers for my q6600
