Games begin to artifact

Thread Starter
I don't know what is causing it, my graphics card cooler is stock (EVGA), so it really shouldn't overheat, so is the cooling for my CPU. Does anyone have an idea of what's happening.

It artifacts on HLF2, portal, ghost recon, basically everything.

Thanks guys.

Try reinstalling drivers first, get driver cleaner from the downloads section. After uninstalling the drivers, boot into safe mode and run driver cleaner, then reboot and reinstall drivers. Good luck hope this works, if not then its possibly a bad card.

I've already tried that, I do it again in case I did something wrong the first time. Should I bother buying a new cooler? Thanks again for the help.

No overclocking, and I still need to download some apps to check the temp.

Actually check your GPU temperatures instead of assuming they're ok. A range of things could be causing them to overheat: dying HSF fan, poor case airflow because of dust and therefore high internal case temperature, etc.

If temperature wise everything is ok, I would consider an RMA (EVGA lifetime warranty )

Thanks, I'll be sure to keep that in mind and are you sure that EVGA provides their lifetime warranty on all of their products?

I just checked my CPU and it's at 39-40 degrees and I'll check my GPU as soon as I get an app to do so.

Thanks for all the help guys.
