Three Boards, Three Prices, Three Choices-Help please - Page 3

I was a little hesitant to buy this board due to its gnarly bios, but i kept my wits about me and bought it anyways.

I had a quick flick through before i booted, just to get an idea of where everything was. After that i looked at a cheat sheet for someone elses settings, then did my thing. Pretty easy really.

I'd still say go for it.

The first board i had when i went over to quad core was a gigabyte p35-ds3l. It is a great board and overclocks quads very well. I had mine running at 3.5Ghz on air with out really pushing it. The bios is very user friendly and good for a first time overclocker. The board performs and overclocks aswell as boards twice its price. I know 3 people with the same board and all get excellent results with it and wouldn't change it for any of those you listed.
The only downside to it is the small passive NB and SB heatsinks and exposed VRMS but that can easily be sorted out by using some of the money you save and buying a couple of little fans to screw onto the top of the passive coolers or buy a couple of better performing aftermarket coolers and get some stick on heatsinks to put accross the VRMS.

If you dont want SLI then P35 Boards are the way to go at the moment for price and performance.
