Benefit of adding 3870 to 3870x2?

I am pretty fond of my x2 and I notice the regular 3870s are priced reasonably. Assuming I had an appropriate motherboard but everything else the same as my sig rig, what kind of improvement would I see at 1920x1200?

Just let me know what game you want me to run, other than crysis. I refuse to contribute to that piece of trash. In fact I refuse to even capitalize the first letter on that game.
Priceless

Wow that actually helped a lot. Good work and some of the most well deserved rep+ I've given

hmmm, with a 3GHz CPU, im can't say. It MAY become a bottleneck. I'd say get to 3.4Ghz+ and then ull benefit 100% from an extra 3870. Also, ure Motherboard is a P35 based. That means, ure second PCIe slot only works at 4X bandwidth. I've actually had almost 20% performance gains when using a 16X slot. U might wanna consider getting an X38/X48 based mobo to get the maximum performance of an added video card.
