From some of what ive read, you can expect your X2's in crossfire to be roughly equal to 2 4870's.

Yeah...

Really the only upgrade would be to 4870 X2's.

Anyway, at some point, I have to control my H.A.S. (Hardware Adquisition Syndrome)

I know it's a very respectable memory clock, but if I recall correctly, most sites had GDDR5 on these cards pegged at over 4GHz effective. 3.8GHz isn't quite there. Still very respectable, but not as fast as some initial reports led me to believe.
