Yep Powdercoat is the way to go alright. Looks Factory!. Nice work.

Did you have to get the case stripped to coat? Or can they coat right over the stock finish?

Powder coating is deffo the way forward for case internals!
I've got a V2000 being done by a body shop this week, should be interesting to see how durable the finish is but I don't think it's gonna be as durable as powder coating.

@ CD
They coated directly over factory finish, no blasting or nitromose involed!
It gets put through the de-greasing machine, looks like a car wash and it comes out covered in yellow gunk.
I think that then gets washed off and if it's bare ally they use an etch primer on it.

After that it gets hooked onto the coating racks.
Behind the hooks is a large wall with water running down it to keep the paint from drying on it and helps remove the overspray/dust from the room I think.

I will get some pics of the process eventually (though im guessin you saw their setup at the place you used), it's pretty interesting how it all works though.

I wish powder coating wasn't so expensive. Otherwise I'd have done my 900 by now and would be anxiously awaiting to do it to my P182 which on en route.

For a case, as long as you choose a stocked color and bring them a piece ready to be done, it's probably less than $100 give or take.
