[Solved - Do As You Will Gents] Why Wont My *Fresh From RMA* 8800GT Work? - Page 3

An article that guides What to Do If Your Computer Doesn’t Turn On.

Quote:
So we recommend you to follow our tutorial in the same order we are publishing it. Don’t assume that any of the steps is “silly†because they aren’t – many will start to disassemble the whole computer just to find out later that a defective USB drive installed on one of the USB ports was preventing the computer from turning on, and by following our guide you would have detected this problem right away.
Here is my last suggestion if you don't want to wait to use your friends computer. PLease refer to the quote above if you do go through the article.

Hope you can get it working.

Would locking the PCI-E frequency help?

And Lo, out of the blue, the mothertrucking thing did work.

I am seriously bemused here. I did the same as what i did last time. Only this time, it works.

This is a serious W.T.H. moment. Just hope it stays gold. Had my CD driver installation go "Not Responding" on me already, here's hoping the newest ones don't do that.

Cheers for the help guys, hit me up if i forgot to rep y'alls.

I ashamedly did think my card was dead. I'd never put it in the microwave though, that's just not my style.

1 minute and the newest drivers will be downloaded. Hope they work!

You chaps wanna help this dude out while i'm gone?
