Need new cooling system

Edit: I am curently running idle at around 90 degrees and the electronic thermometer is right above my cpu heatsink

Hello,
I am new to these forums and i just wanted to see if anyone could give me some advice on a new cooling system. I built this rig about 2 years ago and have been using the same stock fans/cpu fans since them.

Basic Specs:

Case:

Motherboard:

It is an Asus P4-C-800E Deluxe

My processor is a p4 with 3.0ghz hyper threading

gpu= nVidia 6600 256mb

ram= 2x512 Corsair Overlocking dual channel

So anyways I got some help with most of the wiring on my pc. Right now it is VERY DIRTY inside. I am planning on buying some fan filters but i would like suggestions on new fans and a new cpu cooler. I am sorry im such a newb but this summer i would really like to get my computer looking a lot better than it currently is.

So for the basics I need:

A new CPU cooler and fan:

I was thinking of this http://thermaltakeusa.com/product/co...6/cl-p0006.asp

and 3 new 80mm fans

Thanks so much!

90F isn't too bad (32C). However, you're point of measurement is on the heatsink, so the actual CPU will be a bit hotter.

Is your P4 a Prescott or a Northwood? Prescotts run substantially hotter..

I think a good dusting will improve your temps already quite a bit.

The cooler you linked is a good one for the CPU you have. nice pick.

The exhaust fan of your case can be a 120mm fan. Thus, I'd get a 120mm for exhaust. Then, put two 80mm fans in front, and you should be fine. Oh, and don't forget a 90mm fan for the heatsink you're planning. (no, it doesn't come with a fan).

If you like the thermaltake products, I would recommend the Max Orb CPU Cooler. My temps usually stay below 30C unless I've been playing alot of games for awhile and then it never goes above 35C. It's really quiet even when the fan is set to the highest speed the control will let it go. Also, if that's too expensive, try the Arctic Freezer Pro, I think that's what it's called. It's cheaper and alot of people I've seen like it.

Your PSU should be able to handle a couple of fans.

For cleaning out dust, get a can of compressed air like this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16899888208 (but buy locally, since shipping kills the price). Since you'll be taking your rig apart for the new heatsink, it's easier to clean all the parts.
Yes, do get that CPU cooler. It's very nice.

Some fans I really like (although pricey):
80mm: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835220009
120mm: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999344
90mm: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185048

Some cheaper fans that are also nice:
120mm: http://search.********gear.com/?quer...&bn_u=38512680 (any of these, depending you like leds or not. With free shipping, an awesome deal on good 120mm fans)

Thanks so much for all of the help... When i take my computer apart i also hope to add 2x 512mb more of ram to equal a totaly of 2gb of ram. I also will be cleaning up the wiring. THanks so much for the suggestions.... THe only problem is that i am a newb about where to hook stuff up. If i wanted to clean out the fans would i have to unplug them first?

THanks!!!!!!!!

nay, you don't have to. But you'll likely have to remove the motherboard to install the new heatsink....

don't be too afraid. Those fan connectors only fit on one way
