Dell Precision 690 for gaming?

Thread Starter
I was wondering how this computer would react to a gaming enviornment.
DUAL Quad core xeon 3.73ghz (8 processors)
4 gb ram
Nvidia quadro fx 4500 512mb ram
Was wondering how this computer would run? Its a very expensive computer but didnt know how the xeon processors would run with gaming.

Unless the game can use 8 cores, the second cpu won't make a difference. Also the video card isn't meant for gaming and won't perform as well as higher end cards.

you should look around the forums, ask questions on parts and things.

And learn how to build your own computer.
It's a great feeling knowing your computer, is something you put together.

It would game decently.

Throw 3DMark06 on it and test it.

It's probably going to be hard selling it though since the demand for those parts isn't high while the price is.

May I ask why your friend spent $4000 on a workstation system just to sell it?
