I have some DT770pro 80ohm coming on Wednesday

Should be good to go with my setup

However even these HD215 sound good with the Corda Areitta and the Prelude!

Kind of confused right now, I don't know whether to go with 2 pairs or 1.. Thanks for the closed headphones recommendations--how much do these cost new? I'd rather them new.

He asked for new prices though. Silly.

Thanks for the prices...

I am still debating whether to go ahead and get the AD700 as my only headphone or 2 pairs..(I am leaning towards the one because obviously I would use it more)..

I previously was considering the Goldring DR150, $150 new, and have heard it is amazing. I have to decide what my budget will allow for either the AD700 or DR150.

Any more suggestions are welcome!

If it helps, I've got a pair of AD700s up for sale. Their sound signature did not bode well with me. Plus, closed headphones are better for my situation.

I think I actually saw your sale thread earlier, but I'm not ready to buy just yet so I think I'll pass for now. Thanks for the offer though.

The most versatile pair of cans under $200 (in my personal opinion) are Sennheiser HD580's. Yes, they are a little more expensive ($150 used on eBay normally), but if I needed 1 pair from both music and gaming the 580's would definitely be my first choice. They greatly benefit from an amp, but this is true of most headphones and even being driven from a soundcard they will still be highly competent.

Have you ever tried the DR150s or heard of them? Thanks for your suggestion.
