I overclocked it but I don't really play games anymore.. so I reset the setting to default speed... so my windows detect it as 3.1Ghz and mobo for 3Ghz.

as for the price... I picked one up from local Fry's for 49.99
which is a STEAL!! ( i live in bayarea)

I had zalman 9700 and I was posting high 30's and low 40's according to mobo and my zalman MFC2.

Now I'm constantly getting 30~34C with Ultra Chiltec with mobo, chilltec monitor, and zalman MFC2.

this cooler may not be overclocker's favorite.. but it certainly works better than any other coolers I've own previously.

According to this review from Techgage, the Ultra Chilltec doesn't perform much better than a Zalman 9700CNPS. This review from Legit Reviews has it performing only slightly better than the Scythe Ninja. Coolers like the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme, Tuniq Tower, and OCZ V2 generally outperform the Ninja and Zalman 9700. Considering this, I'd be willing to bet the Chilltec wouldn't perform much (if at all) better than the TRUE, Tuniq Tower, or V2. I can't say for sure though. But it would seem like a waste to purchase a cooler for $130, when the performance is likely around the same (or possibly worse) than a cooler that costs half as much.

I guess peoplel really don't like Chilltec around here... j/k

For the price, I guess it really is a waste of money.

Like I stated above, I picked one up from local fry's for 49.99 NEW
I'm not sure if Fry's is trying to clear out the stock or Ultra discontinued the item but for me it was good buy since it only costed me $50. compared to $65 I paid for Zalman 9700 which gave me so-so performance.

just my 2cents
