Q6600 Won't OC past 2.9Ghz - Page 2

Ty switching your memory around to different slots or eliminating 2 sticks and trying it that way. I seem to remember reading about problems with our boards and 4 sticks.

I've only got 2 sticks or ram.

I'm currently stable at 3.2ghz but I'd love to go higher .. :\\

Just off track a little goose, but how does the V1 go in your case? What are your temps like? (Not trying to jack)

I was at 2.7ghz with no change to vcore and I was getting low 30's to high 20's for my cores.

It's not the easiest installation, but it fit, and looks pretty nifty.

Right now my vcore is a little high I think so I'm going to lower it, but at 1.4v I'm at 40,39,33,33.

Apart from this, at 1460, my computer hangs and will not go anywhere. Every other setting above 1440, Will not Work. Am I going to be stuck at 3.24 ghz or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Sounds like a fsb hole. I just went through all of this last week. I thought I was gonna be stuck at 3.2 also. Try setting the fsb to 1553 x9 (worked for me) and vcore to 1.47v . Leave your memory unlinked and at stock speeds. If it posts run prime95 on small fft's for a bit and check your stability and temps. If the temps are below 72c and it's still not stable try and up the vcore or go higher on the fsb until it's stable.

Hmm, thanks I will definitely try this.

Currently I'm at 3.24Ghz, 1440 GDR, 900 Mem

Cpu Core 1.418v, Cpu FSB 1.4v, Memory 2.00v, SPP 1.4v, MCP 1.52V, Spp-Mcp 1.25v.

If I lower the vcore at all it won't boot.
