All this green talk.

I'd rather my PC was powered by incinerating forests and small animals.

personally i care about the environment but i am too lazy to change my lifestyle

i always love it when people invent new products that provide the same or better quality while using less power

do you guys know why your core 2 duo eats your p4 alive while using less power and generating less heat?

do you know why the best performing psu's met the 82+ standard before 82+ was even invented?

it's something called efficiency... it's a concept everyone should be more concerned with. it makes your life better whether you know it or not.

i recently replaced all my incandescent bulbs in the house with compact flourescent ones. I notice no difference in the quality of light produced by these bulbs yet i know they consume 1/4 of the energy of my old ones, not to mention my power bill went down 10-15 percent.

so far i have been pretty pleased with the "green" movement and i hope it continues to grow

as for the bamboo pc's i could care less.. it's what's inside the pc that counts. and **** dell anyway

Did you read the article? Here, I will quote it for you:

Quote:
According to Dell's spokeswoman Anne Camden, the miniature desktop PC is about 81 percent smaller than the standard form-factor and will draw up to 70 percent less energy while operating at peak capacity.

"According to Dell's spokeswoman Anne Camden, the miniature desktop PC is about 81 percent smaller than the standard form-factor and will draw up to 70percent less energy while operating at peak capacity. "

great... but it's not going to game. it's a dell. i just said i wasnt willing to give up quality for the sake of saving the environment. that was the whole point of my post lol.

if i ever need an email and web machine it sounds pretty bomb though. or maybe for businesses. i just don't think it's for me.

Exactly, it's not made for gaming but aimed towards general web surfing and businesses.

EDIT: And this Dell games fine.

Well, global warming is a hoax anyway. No proof for it. The 2008 winter was the coldest we have had since 1988, and the dustbowls of the 1930's were actually the warmest years recorded in history. Nothing's getting any warmer.

Oh, and if one of those special compact flourecent lights breaks in your home, be prepared to rip out a bunch of carpet, tear down walls, and destroy anything with cloth that's in the same room. They have mercury in them! And the good ol' government is forcing us to use these things by 2012... unbelievable.

Not to say that I'm not for efficiency and innovation, I'm all for it. Just not when it costs me more and is forced upon me. That's socialism.
