8600gt question

Thread Starter
so i just got an xfx 8600 gt and decided to test it out. i ran halo pc and got 100-150 fps...then i ran san andreas and never got above 30 fps. it fluctuates around 25 to 27 fps. when i'm in doors i always get 60 fps but for some reason it never goes above 30 outdoors. anyone know why its doing this? thanks in advance

Could it be that outside there is a lot more data to go through. Outside, there are lots of plants, and glare that you would not find indoors.

thanks for the responses guys ^^

i just took out my cpu and noticed that 4 of the little holes (dont know what they're called lol) are burnt. that explains why the temp was so high (66C full load) i'm surprised its still running lol, guess its time for a new cpu.

Also, get a new cpu and mother bord. I recomend the E2140. It is $60 at Micro Center. It also can be overclocked really well. Of course, if you get DUO processor instead of a pentium 4, you will need a new motherbord. Get a cheap $25 one.
