That is what you are looking for?

If so: Automotive door trim is similar. It is a little more rigid. I used a lighter to soften it up , but it is better to use warm water.

it looks like this:

http://www.petrastechshop.com/neruedtrmo.html

basically a rubber molding used on car trim to prevent damage.

In the 2nd picture, If you move the joint between the two ends of the tubing around a bit rather than in the corner it might look a bit neater, Otherwise good improvisation

ok.. these mods were finished yerterday..

took the top grills out and opened a 114mm hole wif a hole saw..
sprayed it wif white paint to match my theme..
bought a new 120mm fan (no brand) but they really do their job..
fitted it and done...

back to the front 120mm intake..
since i fitted it wif some homemade c-channel, the blades of the fan will contact wif it..
so i put some nuts between the fan n the screw to giv some small space to allow the blades to spin freely..
fitted the back 92mm exhaust fan wif ease...
anymore suggestions??

somemore pics..
