BSOD Intel Dp35Dp jumper reset issues

Thread Starter
I have found myself to be quite over-zealous and yet very reticent in my attempts to overclock my rig. Being that, I travelled into the BIOS and proceeded to poke around despite not being afforded the option to change much. So I change the RAM from default to 333MHz and save and quit. Non the less, my computer will not load @ the windows screen(goes through bios just fine, and the next screen after the digits pop up there is a lil trolling windows bar thingy) and instead of going all the way through, it stops a 3rd of the way and BSOD. I tried to remove the CMOS battery for an hour, turn power off, removed power cord. I tried using the cmos jumper from 1-2 to 2-3. I've tried just about everything I could think of and albeit limited info, I am trying all I know. I don't know what else to do. So I decided I'd ask you all to see if you all had ANY IDEAS AT ALL.
P.S. I realized that my bios is still the original launch bios and thats why the BIOS menus are so unstable...but I don't know how to update a BIOS either anyways. And a lot of these faq's online are simply to limited-I need more detail.

Thanx

If this is redundant, I profoundly apologize.

Remove wall power. Remove battery. Set jumper to reset. Go smoke or beat off, at least 10 min. Put jumper back to normal. Add battery. Add wall. Try again.

If that doesn't work, you may need to cowboy up and learn all about BIOS flashing. It's an essential skill anyway, and not hard. Now may be the time..

Good luck!

wth??? lmao...if it werent for the humor...
well, I can't say that I won't try it, I'm desperate, and I don't see what moving the jumper is going to do if there is aabsolutely no power flowing through it, be it battery or wall...but maybe thats the thing, maybe I'm not supposed to get it. That lil battery is darn hard to get out without removing my gpu. well, maybe I could just learn about bios, and I've read a lot but I figured maybe somebody else knew something that I haven't, ya know, listed...but L I'll give it a try, what've I got to lose? I should just use my back up gpu until I get this prob fixed...Thanx a Lot friend!!!!

Okay, so I figured out what was wrong with my system which was very weird anyways.

So All the flash resets and windows repairs, and countless attempts at anything. Phew!

The problem was that when I hit default on my bios it set my hdd to raid despite them being emulated IDE.

This caused the cyclic redundancy that I was experiencing. WTH~!!!!

That made me angry because I had no reason to suspect that.

I learned Ms-Dos and Flashing just to fix an issue with my bios...I updated to the newest BIOS quickly after that.

Thanx for the help everybody. this is actually kinda funny
