yeah, i've heard that going over 1.5 v for vcore on 65nm procs can kill lifespan...

No that's good. Now run a stress test overnight for 8 to 9 hours on all 4 cores and make sure that it's stable.

Looking good.......I would see if that much VCore is required by testing higher FSB Termination voltage, PLL voltage, and NBV.....

BTW 8 hours stress test isn't needed......only 2 or 3. (unless you're folding)

I am using this computer for downloading and unraring. As you can imagine if i have 200-500GB/day it would mean i'd have to spend all my time when i come home from work just to extract the files and transfer them to such and such hard drives.

I would like to overclock this machine to the limit but i beleive it's already at it's limit. Would it go faster if i got a 10k rpm hard drive and equipped it with 1066mhz ram?
