I just cant understand how people think vistas performance is worse than xp. My performance is better with vista. Everything loads faster, it utilizes resources more efficiently. Ram is what makes vista shine the more you have of it the better it responds to it. All well at least I am a satisfied vista customer.

I'm demonstrating the irony of some one using a 15" LCD telling people to move on from XP.

If your system works for you (and I see no reason, beyond personal preference, why it should not), that's fine and grand. However, the vast majority of people out there would agree that it's much easier to enjoy a system with, say, a 20" monitor and Windows 2k/XP, than one with a 15" monitor and Vista. Productivity is certainly improved more with the larger monitor size, than with an OS swap.

The last time I found a 15" monitor to be tolerable, for a desktop system, was 10 years ago.

Better to be a prick, and call out those who seem willing to throw away money on illogical purchases, than a fool who advocates them.

I'm really sick of this kind of fallacious logic. "OMG! It's teh future! Letz embrace it! Everything else is old now and we need to move on!"

I suppose you're the same kind of people that think you must have a GPS in your car, you must drive a hybrid, everything has to be Bluetooth, and if you don't have an iPhone/Blackberry/etc your aren't cool

Vista is a piece of crap if you don't have higher-mid level hardware. That is the sad, unfortunate truth. Microsoft made the software so that you HAVE to pay for the better equipment so that you can enjoy their, so called "advancements" in the system.
With statements like above I really have to wonder is that some of you must not remember when XP was first released and ran like ass on the lower-mid level hardware that was out at that time.

Just like XP matured over time and got better as it was refined and what was once high end hardware became low-mid level hardware, Vista will also continue to improve as its refined and current higher end hardware becomes lower-mid level hardware.

Then I am sure when the next big operating system from Microsoft comes out and they decide they want to phase out Vista like they are with XP it will be the same arguments all over again.

IMO Vista is fine and runs better with less issues than I remember having with XP when it first came out and I switched.
