Adding a 2nd fan to my True?

Thread Starter
I've searched around a bit but couldn't really find any info or pics. I know people have mounted 2 fans on a true so can someone point me in the right direction on how to mount the second one? I know I can just order extra clips but I want something now that'll look okay.

I have seen plenty of people wrap zip ties around it, I went for a different approach. I ran zip ties through the fins of the TRUE. After I was done I realized that the 2nd fan gets in the way of the 4pin connector and its a PITA to put on and take off.

I thought about using zip ties like You did Mike. I couldn't get them to go through right and I know I wouldn't have been able to mount it back in place if I took it off completely. So I made some clips out of paper clips lol. Don't know if it's been done before but it's holding nice and tight.

I think I'm probably just going to wrap rubber bands around the whole thing to hold my second fan on. I don't really care if it looks horrible.

All you do is take two ties, feed it through the fins and secure it with another zip tie on the end. If my board was out I would've went this route but I'm lazy so paper clips work for me.

Wouldn't recommend that at all. Rubber bands lose their elasticity each time they're stretched; after a certain amount of time, the band will break. Consider too that rubber's properties are affected by temperature, accelerating the process leading to rubber band failure.

Trust me, because this happened to me last summer.
