help with 7600GT Overclock...

Thread Starter
I want to overclock my 7600GT... my motherboard's BIOS allows for adjusting some settings to the video cards, so if I can, I'd rather do it through hardware if possible. Any help?

Use RIVAtuner to overclock your GPU. I wouldn't go through the BIOS.

Any reason for that?

I would use coolbits, it will find your optimum overclock for you. Then you can set it, and it will load at that for ever. If you want you can keep trying to push it even more. All coolbits does is open up an overclocking feature Nvidia allready has enabled on the card.

Here is the coolbits download.

There is a Vmod for the 7600 as well, let me know if you can't find.

Just noticed you are new. Once you unpack coolbits, right click your desktop and select properties, then select the settings tab. Now hit the advanced button on the bottom right.

Next click on the tab labled 7600GT, and use the classic view. Now this should open up a new window and let you adjust the clocks.

Hope this helps

(got me up to 200 posts, yay!)

I downloaded that Coolbits file, it was just a file that changed the registry...

Don't do Ntune!

You may have to go back to an older version of your drivers.

I know they fubared coolbits for the 8800 series, they must have fubared it for everything with the newer drivers now.
