Rampage formula/Q6600 overclocking help

Thread Starter
Hi all

First post from me here.

Just finished building the system in my sig and am running Vista64.

Never really OC'd any of my other builds in the past and would really appreciate some help.

I don't want to go mad but can anyone guide me through (or provide examples) setting the bios up so I can achieve 3.4-3.5ghz out of this system.

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Steve

why and how did you lap your CPU?

If you have not overclocked before, howcome you have a lapped proc? So confused!

But anyways... simple solution, load into your bios, then increase your FSB.

Take baby steps at first, go by 10 intervals. Until you reach your desired speed.

If you system doesnt post, go back 10 fsb until it posts again.

Until then ... happy camping.

BTW, it would do you some good to read the forums. As this is a very common question.

if you have yours properly lapped and assume you have your room properly cooled. Then you should hit at least 3.6ghz to 4.0ghz using this board.

My gigabyte p35-ds3l (limited fsb compare to your rampage) with a bad batch unlapped g0 and much worse cpu cooler does 3.6ghz.

I recommend you read all the post on related asus board threads.
