Artifact scanner

Hi all.

I can't seem to get ATI tools to detect my card(s). I got it to test for artifacts once, and my system crashed. Now, I keep getting the message "The video card you have selected for overclocking in ATITool does not seem to be used by Windows".

Is this common, is there a fix, and/or is there another program I can use?

Also, RivaTuner keeps sending me a message when I start it saying that it has not been tested with my display driver. I have updated drivers, and I think 2.08 is the most recent incarnation of RivaTuner. I have, however, seen other people using it to OC the same card that I have.

I have the same problem with ATI Tool, but the thing with rivatuner just means that the people who made it, haven't tested it with those drivers yet, but there is a good chance that it will work anyway, I'm using 174.74 and rivatuner tells me the same thing but still allows me to overclock.

This sounds like a driver or unstable OC issue

I too couldn't get atitool to work, although I got a different error. I downloaded furmark instead, it works brilliantly for stressing and testing for artifacts.

I actually figured it out...the most current stable version of ATItools isn't exactly Vista friendly. I downloaded the new beta, and it works fine.

[strikeout]Try Video Card Stability Test, or FurMark.[/strikeout]
